I come from  a small country in the middle of the world. I was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador but I am also a Florida resident.

I have experienced two different cultures and I love them both. Now as a journalist, I appreciate more these differences and they connect me with Latin America and North America.

Back in 2008 I started my journalism path at 'Universidad San Francisco de Quito' in Ecuador's capital. I had interesting experiences and I learned broadcast, print and online media.

One of the highlights was a trip to Peru for a week with classmates and a professor to report on different issues. Besides reporting, that trip showed me how journalists work and it opened my eyes to a future that I am really looking forward to live.

In 2011, I started a new journey and transferred to Penn State University. I arrived there looking for different experiences and to learn how the American media works.

I joined The Daily Collegian news staff and reported various issues and events. On my last semester at Penn State I was the web manager and learned more about online media.

In 2013, I graduated from Penn State University and I am really looking forward to have a successful  professional life as a journalist.
